Eligibility
Wards of all serving Army personnel and MNS Officers. Applicant / ward must not have attained 25 years of age at the time of completion of class/course from IX to PG level of education.

Wards of Retired Army personnel, Territorial Army personnel (TA) and deceased Army personnel are not eligible.
Method of Selection and Award of Scholarship
Cut off percentage to receive applications for various classes and categories are as under:-

Once the applications are received based on cut off percentages, merit list will be drawn for award of scholarships based on allotment of funds for the present financial year.
Award of Scholarship
The scholarship, based on the level of education for all categories are as under :

1 Class IX and XI Rs 2000/- per annum.
2 Class X and XII Rs 4000/- per annum.
3 Graduation Rs 7500/- per annum
4 Post Graduation Rs 10000/- per annum.

Merit Certificate
Merit certificates will be issued online to all eligible applicants.
Timelines
The applications should pertain to the declared results of the immediately preceding academic year between 01st Oct of the preceding year and 30th Sep of the current year (i.e, applications will be processed this year for the period from 01st Oct 2024 to 30th Sep 2025).

As per guidelines of AO 04/2021/AG/CW last date for receipt of application is 30th Nov 2025. Any change in the last date of receipt of application beyond 30th Nov 2025 will be updated on AWES website at an appropriate stage.
Times of India Merit Scholarship
R&W Section, CW Dte (DIAV) dealing with M/s Times of India scholarship allots the vacancies for scholarships for professional courses i.e for Engineering, Medical, MBA, MCA, Mass Communication and Journalism. Particulars of applicants for award of above scholarships will be fwd by this HQ to R&W Sec.

No separate application for award of Times of India Merit scholarship shall be forwarded to R&W Sec, CW Dte (DIAV). However, only one scholarship is entitled to a student in an academic year.
Mode of Payment
Amount of scholarship will be transferred to the applicants based on bank details given in applications through NEFT/RTGS mode.
